TAHAKA COHOUSING NEIGHBOURHOOD

Earth Equity Network founding partner Reggie Luedtke has been involved in developing a unique Community Land Trust for the Tākaka Cohousing Neighbourhood in Mōhua / Golden Bay, New Zealand.

Tākaka is co-housing village that incorporates three neighbourhoods of 34 high-quality, sustainable and beautiful homes. Mōhua Ventures, the company developing Tākaka Cohousing, is a not-for-profit whose sole shareholder is Te Hapori Hauora, a Community Land Trust.

The Te Hapori Hauora - Mōhua Community Land Trust ensures that the Whenua (land) has a voice in decision-making.

The Trust has a unique tripartite structure that includes representation from residents, Mana Whenua (Māori land rights holders) and the wider Mōhua community. It aims to account for the wellbeing of the residents, the local ecosystems and the more-than-human world.

BLUE TREE NETWORK

Reggie Luedtke also co-founded the Blue Tree Network, a consulting firm that works with over 100 health systems to produce better outcomes for their communities.

Blue Tree developed a value in = value out model, in which value was given based on actual contribution, not on prestige or the negotiation power of each individual.

One of the most attractive incentives for working their was that they offered stock options to share the value more equally.

At Earth Equity Network, we aim to take the value one step further and offer those options to the bioregions that support us.

Whether you're an emerging startup or a global company, find out how we can help your organisation evolve with Nature.

We'd love to chat.
