What we do

EARTH EQUITY

Giving Nature a voice, a bank account and legal rights

Earth Equity is an alternative business model structure inspired by Aotearoa / New Zealand’s environmental personhood movement, including the Te Awa Tupua Act of 2017 granting the Whanganui River legal personhood status.

It has three core pillars;

  1. Ownership, via Nature & purpose,

  2. Governance, via Nature on the board, and

  3. Finance, via models that include Nature and future generations.

Earth Equity is based on the concept of Euterra - the dynamic interconnectedness of wholeness or oneness with nature - the feeling of being interconnected with Earth and sourcing action from that ground.

This is the internal shift we aim to support and with which external shifts on the level of finance, governance and ownership can more deeply take root.

FUNDING BIOREGIONAL REGENERATION

Facilitating value flow back into Nature

We facilitate the value flow and reciprocity between Nature and companies not only through adapting Earth Equity (EE), but also by inviting a percentage of profits into Earth’s Bank Account (EBA).

A Bioregional Regeneration Fund can be set up anywhere, with the intention of closing loops between companies and Nature, and giving Nature a voice, a bank account and more legal sovereignty in your community.

Value flow

We work in an ecosystem with Coalition of Everyone (CoE), a registered charity, who help hold assets for Nature and facilitates the administration and distribution of value flow from the Bioregional Regeneration Fund, via Earth’s Bank Account (EBA), back into Nature.
